The recordkeeping that we never have to ask people to do
Despite all of the problems in records, we don't actually have problems getting people to create records. They do it automatically hundreds of times a day.
Why?
I think it's three core reasons -
1. So they don't forget something.
2. So they can transfer work from themselves to someone else.
3. So they can notify people that something important has changed.
All of those things are about immediate value for the people we expect to do the work.
How do we get in the pathway of those things?
